Description

These Monte Cristo Sliders combine sweet Hawaiian rolls with savory meats and cheeses, finished with powdered sugar and jam for an irresistible twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 8 oz thinly sliced ham
  • 8 oz thinly sliced turkey breast
  • 8 oz Swiss cheese slices
  • 8 oz Gruyère cheese (or more Swiss)
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup mayo
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Raspberry jam for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  2. Mix Dijon mustard and mayo, spread over bottom rolls.
  3. Layer ham, turkey, Swiss, and Gruyère cheese over the rolls.
  4. Place top half of rolls over the fillings. Mix melted butter, honey, garlic powder, and poppy seeds, then brush over the tops.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5-10 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with raspberry jam.

Notes

Avoid overstuffing and let sliders rest after baking for easier cutting and cleaner presentation.
